The Gurpınar Fishery Products Marketing Hall and Fishing Harbour are located in the Istanbul district, Gurpınar quarters next to the Marmara Sea.
The aim of the project is to provide to the public good quality, hygienic, inexpensive and healthy fishery products with approved classification and prices.
The facility, constructed in a total area of 230.000 m², with 175.000 m² of it being land reclaimed from the sea through, is a first in Turkey in terms of its architectural characteristics and operational diversity.
The project scope covers a harbour that can accommodate 120 fishing boats at a time, with sale units for fishery products, social and general activity areas, areas to initially receive and unload fish from the boats and vehicles, fish reception and marketing hall, storage areas, cold storage depots, frozen product depots, electronic sale hall, administrative offices, seminar & training hall, auction area, show centre, bank branch, cafe and restaurants, archive, fish processing spaces, social platform secure entrances, fish barbeque area.
With its modern design, easily accessible separate units, and solar panel cladding that can meet the facility’s energy demand, this facility has brought a new interpretation to the concept of fishery products marketing halls.
