PROF. DR. A. ORHAN EROL

He was born in 1947 in Yozgat. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate education at METU Civil Engineering Department. In 1977 he received his PhD in Geotechnics at the Iowa State University (USA) Civil Engineering Department, Geotechnics.   He worked as a specialist engineer in the private sector and as a lecturer at King Saud University in Riyadh.  In 1989 he rejoined the METU Civil Engineering Department and in 1992 received the title of Professor.  Mr Erol who retired in 2014 still works in this department as part-time lecturer and at Yüksel Proje as Consultant.

In 2021 Mr Erol became a Member of Yüksel Proje Board of Directors.  He has published various national and international works and three books, and has research studies on the subject of ground collapse and uplift, shaft friction in piled foundations, ground improvement and strengthening, and stone columns.
