Drilling work along a length of 1,092 m
Geological – geotechnical modelling
One of the largest landslides which due to climate conditions and ground structure are common in the Black Sea region, took place in the Devrek district in 2015.
Studies were undertaken to establish and prevent the stability problems that occured on the Devrek-Ereğli road, and the required precautions were determined.
Borehole investigations along a total length of 1,092 m were undertaken and inclinometers installed. Geological and geotechnical modelling was completed and a geotechnical design prepared for landslide stabilization.
Drainage and retaining systems, earthworks and instrumentation were designed for the prevention of a recurrence of one of the biggest landslide that has occured in Turkey.
