Geological-geotechnical solutions
At the end of 2015 movement was detected in a mass located inside the boundaries of the mining area.
Approximately 2000 m of exploratory drilling work was performed in order to asses the geolocial-geotechnical conditions in the open mine area, to establish the areas where stability problems were observed, to prepare precaution implementation projects, and to establish the in-situ conditions of new structures which will be constructed according to operational needs.
Engineering geology maps for the whole of the excavation pit area were prepared and implementation solutions for problematic sections established. The up-to-date status of the project site was monitored throughout the following years.
