Rehabilitation of a 9 km long creek with flood risk

Master plan and design studies were undertaken of the approximately 9 km long canal east of the Cankaya district in the Ankara province between Imrahor Viaduct and the water basin of Lake Eymir, and of the 290 ha area.
Based on the master plan study the designs were prepared for an artificial river, ponds and recreational areas, outdoor spaces, access roads for pedestrians and cars, car parks, and for the buildings and facilities of various purpose, attributes and dimensions like administration buildings, restaurants, places of worship, sales units, service buildings.
The project scope involved the rehabilitation of a 9 km creek with flood risk, flood protection structures (sedimentation grills and regulator), flood detention dam, Q2800 mm flood water by-pass line (9 km), 50.000 m² artificial pond, 2.000.000 m² recreation and landscaping design, 100 recreational structures, 20 km of planned road, 7 planned vehicle bridges, 14 pedestrian bridges and creek crossing bridges, and 115 km infrastructure.
