The designed section of the motorway forms part of “Motorway Corridor Vc” which is the main North-South motorway corridor of the country, connecting the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the neighboring countries Serbia and Croatia.
The scope of the projects covers approximately 6 km of motorway, 2 tunnels, 3 viaducts, 1 steel bridge, 1 interchange, a 1.4 km long connection road, 4 km local roads, 1 multi-level junction and 1 toll plaza.
The Zenica Tunnel which is part of the Zenica North Motorway project, has a length of 3350 m x 2 and the Hum Tunnel a length of 428 m x 2. Both tunnels have a tunnel area of approximately 55 m².
