A 55 km long double track, standard gauge railway line consisting of “Tranche Ferme” (36 km) and “Tranche Conditionnelle” (19 km). The design speed is 160 km/h.
There are 15 overpasses, 2 highway underpasses, SMI & SMR outbuildings, SMR VRD (Rolling Stock Maintenance Site Lines) and 14 stations within the scope of the project.
This project has strategical importance as it is the first standard gauge railway line in Senegal that operates between Dakar and the AIBD Airport.
