In scope of the construction of Gulburnu Bridge, crossing with an aesthetic bridge of the bay containing the historical Zefre Harbor and protection of Gulburnu Bay that has a natural beauty have been aimed.
Desire of great span selection is closely related to geological and topographical features of the sea bottom. The bedrocks are about 15 meters to 20 meters deep in the sea. Thus, they lead to reduce the number of pier as much as possible and place in shallower parts.
“Free balance cantilever method” has been selected as a construction method because the pier in the sea is not possible.
