Halkali-Kapikule Railway is one of the largest infrastructure projects to be realized within the framework of the financial cooperation between Turkiye and the European Union. Ispartakule-Cerkezkoy is 67 km section (Phase 2) of this project that will connect the European Railway line to the local network (Marmaray).
Halkali-Kapikule Railway will be part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) connecting to Türkiye's European border (at Kapıkule), completing an important part of the Iron Silk Road from London to Beijing.
With the completion of the project consisting of 3 sections, a double-track, 200 km/h high-speed train line for passenger and freight transportation will be built on a 229 km route between Halkali-Kapikule.

Environmental and Social Action Plan, Environmental and Social Management Plan, Resettlement Action Plan, Emergency Response Framework, Biodiversity Management Plan, Railway Safety Plan and Stakeholder Engagement Plan have been prepared within the scope of the project.
