The Izmir Bay Crossing is a complex project that aims to ensure integrity of transport between the two sides of the Izmir Bay and connect Cigli to Balcova.
The superstructure of the 3,585 m-long approach bridge has a post-tensioned box-section deck, the superstructure of the 590-meter-long main bridge has a tensioned inclined cable-suspended deck.
With a total length of 4,175 meters and 2 pylons, the maximum span of the bridge is 270 meters, the width of the deck is 2x21 meters.
