The 89 km long Malkara-Canakkale Section of the Kinali-Tekirdag-Canakkale-Savastepe Motorway starts from the South of Malkara and ends at Lapseki Sekerkaya. The 1915 Canakkale Bridge which when completed will be one of the largest bridge in the world, is located in this section.
The Malkara-Canakkale Section of the 324 km long motorway project which will connect Istanbul to Canakkale, includes 2 viaducts, 19 bridges, 12 interchanges, 34 underpasses and 29 overpasses.
When the section is completed the route will be 40 km shorter, reducing the 1 hour journey to 6 minutes.
