The first package of the project includes the design of the road and infrastructure systems for the Lake Perimeter and Relax areas, located in Trojena, one of the regions of NEOM, Saudi Arabia’s futuristic city project. The second package covers the Gateway, Fun, and Discover areas. Within the project scope, the design and construction of general infrastructure systems serving the entire Trojena region will also be carried out.
Trojena is located on Mount Lawz at an altitude of 2,600 meters above sea level. With its high elevation and mild climate, the project aims to transform the area into a world-class winter tourism destination. Due to the size and altitude of the project area, innovative engineering solutions are essential.
Under the contract, the 3B, 3C, and 3D design stages of the projects will be completed.
As part of the project in the NEOM Trojena region design consultancy services are provided for roads, tunnels, bridges, rest areas, culverts, retaining walls, rockfall protection structures, stormwater systems, lake perimeter stormwater and treatment structures, wet utility systems (sewage, potable water, recycled water), water tanks and pumping stations, instrumentation and control systems, road and pedestrian lighting systems, dry utilities (medium voltage, low voltage, fiber optics), fire life safety, landscaping, and digital management processes (BIM/GIS).
This large-scale project is being developed based on sustainability and advanced technology principles, requiring the integrated efforts of multiple engineering disciplines. Effective interface management among various contractors and design firms is critical to the successful completion of the project.
