The aim of the "Kumkapi Boat Park Project" planned by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in the Fatih district, Istanbul, is to use the existing Kumkapi fisherman's shelter as a boat mooring area by providing an area where boats are parked in a calmer environment protected against waves and turbulance, and to create a site for tourism in Kumkapi which is one of the most popular spots in Istanbul.
Within the framework of the work definition the following was prepared: Wind and wave climate studies, ship wave studies, turbulence model study, reinforcement of the existing breakwater and dock application design, floating pier architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical application design, dredging application design to ensure safe berthing conditions for boats in the harbor basin, lighthouse application design and architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical application design for the single-storey buildings to be built on the site behind, floating office structural, mechanical, electrical application design.
